"Image Variation" technology (BTSR patent)

The "Image Variation" patented technique allows monitoring the running/stop condition of the yarn, through the profile analysis and detection of its image variation within a wide reading area. The bi-dimensional image variation technique makes the IS3F.. device free from environmental conditions such as: machine vibrations, dust/dirtiness accumulation, water/oil contamination (IP67 certification), thus guaranteeing the correct device operation even in the most critical applications.

Thanks to patented control technologies and to the use of last generation materials, the BTSR sensors (IS3 Image Smart Scanning Sensors) represent an exclusive solution on the market, featuring a dual mode operation: with or without yarn contact ('self-cleaning' and 'touch-less').

The IS3F.. devices are fully programmable and easily adaptable to the control of any type of yarn.

Models and applications
The IS3F.. sensors are available in various typologies to meet the specific requirements of many applications:
IS3F/TSL: suitable to the use on yarn preparation machines such as: winding, doubling, texturing, interlacing machines, etc. (IP67 certification)

SMART MATRIX TEX Terminal simplifies and optimizes the sensors' programming, the system configuration and the production monitoring. Specifically, it allows the definition in advance of up to 99 different 'articles' (each 'article' is characterized by specific sensor detection features according to the applicative process needs).
SMART MATRIX TEX allows quick and easy programming (and reprogramming) of the sensors, by simply communicating the name of the 'article' to the sensor (or to a specific set of sensors on the machine), which they will have to detect. The system is able to monitor up to 10 different articles at a time.
Furthermore, during the production monitoring phase the system stores all the technical faults each sensor found, allowing the machine operator to realize an accurate analysis on type and numbers of technical faults detected by each individual sensor.

TS7 Tension Sensors

As alternative, SMART MATRIX WARP can be connected to TS7 control devices, intelligent sensors able to real-time measure the yarn running tension inside the eyelet. In case of defect, they either immediately stop the machine position or activate solenoid-valves, cutters, or other control devices, automatically signalling which is the first sensor (among those connected), that stopped the position.
The TS7 devices are fully programmable for an easy implementation of quality control of any kind of yarn/application and, thanks to an innovative patented technique (Tension Smart Scanning Sensor,) don't need complex wirings and long installation times.
